From Delavan to Broadway: Victor Wallace's Journey to 'Mamma Mia!'
Victor Wallace, an alumnus of Ithaca College, embarked on an impressive journey that led him to headline in 'Mamma Mia!'. Growing up in Delavan, Wisconsin, Wallace developed a passion for acting despite limited local resources. To nurture his talent, he traveled over five hours each summer to attend the Interlochen Theatre Arts Camp in Michigan, where he studied under esteemed IC Professor Emeritus Arno Selco. As he approached high school graduation, Wallace was determined to pursue a career in musical theatre. Encouraged by Selco, he considered Ithaca College, which boasted one of the few top-tier Musical Theatre programs available in the early 1990s. Despite a competitive application process, Wallace successfully gained admission, setting the stage for his future success in the performing arts.

Mamma Mia's Donna worth seeing
I took my daughter to this play and we did enjoy it. I love ABBA's music, love the movie, and actually thought the title character Donna was very well played by the Australian actress. She had a wonderful, strong, beautiful voice for the part. However, we were disappointed in the girl who played her daughter - very underwhelming. And the men who played the dads were rather ordinary. The women who played Donna's two friends were a hoot, though, and really breathed some life into the show. Overall, a good play. My only complaint was the elderly woman next to me had her earphones turned up as loud as possible, creating an echo effect with every word said, and there was a lot of static coming out of her headphones. She evidently was oblivious. My daughter and I could both hear the static and the echoing, and it really made us miss some of the dialogue. Very disappointing.
